Mind is an interface between the body and brain of a person. It is not one organ but a number of organs spread throughout the body controlling various body organs. Basically, it presents bodily desires of the person to their brain who may accept or reject them. Same way, experiences from the Memory, and logically and morally correct commands from the Thinking module of the brain brain are conveyed to organs through the mind, which again may accept or reject these commands. Hence, in most of the persons, their mind and brain often clash, and the winner depends on which one is stronger at that time.
Manasveda is an evolving Science under Psychology with its aim of taking care of the body health through use of the Mind which is the interface between the Body and the Mind. It is based on our observation that the Mind knows the best about the Body, and it has the power to over-rule commands of the Brain in management of the Body. .
Every organ of body has its own controlling gland monitoring and regulating health of the organ. If the gland suffers a disorder, it is immediately reflected on the performance of the organ. Sum total of all these glands is known as the mind of the living-being, that senses what the body desires for its pleasures and conveniences. Thus, mind is a pleasure-seeker of the living-being, without bothering whether the pleasures are logically and morally correct or not. It is because of absence of logic unit in the mind. Hence, we can say that all crimes are committed by the body under command of the mind only. In a person, their mind is called as his 'Mana' (in Hindi language). When a person acts under guidance of their mind, they may be committing a crime if the person is of criminal nature or free from moral obligations.
Brain is a distinct organ located inside skull of the person, having many components, principals of these being Memory and Logic units. The Memory keeps on recording and storing the person's experiences, while the Logic does the 'Thinking' and deciding morally-correct ways of life. Because of the Logic Unit, Brain of a person is never supportive to crimes but keeps on pressing for Duties. But the brain has a serious limitation of commanding the body through Mind only – like an interface in between the Body and the Brain, which is free to accept or reject the command of the Brain, hence very often goes the way of bodily pleasures, unless the person is of strongly dedicated to their duties, rather than for pleasures. Here comes sacraments of the person to play their roles, and force the Mind to follow command from the Brain ignoring body’s pleasures. This process keeps on creating tussles between the Brain and Mind of the person in most of their actions. In every tussle, the winner – the Brain or the Mind, is decided and the body is given the Winner’s orders to perform accordingly.
Psychology deals with only the software part of the Mind but without any clear view of its hardware part. Very often, the Mind is considered just a synonym of the Brain. Similarly, Allopathic System of Medicine has no idea of the Mind. But Ayurveda, the Medicine System developed during Vedic Era in India deals extensively with the Mind, calling its individual organ-related unit with the name of a 'Marma', each attached to a body organ to cover the whole Body.
